About
Welcome to Giggles' Campfire Grill, a hidden gem nestled within the vibrancy of St. Paul's 1520 Cooper St, and an absolute must-visit at the MN State Fair. This delightful eatery stands out not just for its location but for serving up some of the most tantalizing flavors in the fair food scene. As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I couldn't resist diving deeper into what makes this spot truly remarkable.
Exceptional flavors await here, with menu choices that span traditional American and bar food. Each dish is a testament to creativity and quality, as many patrons, like Joey Roberto, have noted. He raved about the diverse options and the remarkable flavor profile of every item served. The fast-moving lines at the front are well worth the wait, as you prepare to indulge in an array of dishes that promise to satisfy every palate.
The pavilion behind the grill is another highlight, offering ample seating with shade from the sun and protection from the rain. It's not just about great food; it's about creating an atmosphere where you can enjoy your meal. Imagine savoring a dish while listening to live music or entertainment wafting through the air, adding to the fair's ambiance.
Among the menu stars are the Duck Bacon Wontons and the much-talked-about Walleye Cakes, highlighted by customers like Dianne Morstad, who lauded the savory fish cakes paired with a zesty sauce. Meanwhile, John Florell mentioned a novel addition to the menu, the Duck Drummies, a must-try this season that showcases the kitchen's talent for crafting unique offerings.
What further sets Giggles' Campfire Grill apart is its dedication to quality. Many dishes are crafted from scratch, featuring smoked salmon and local walleye, complemented by a curated selection of craft beers. Matthew Schepp notably enjoyed the Walleye Cakes paired with a refreshing Dill Pickle Beer—a pairing that exemplifies the adventurous spirit of this culinary destination.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a fair food experience that elevates your taste buds, Giggles' Campfire Grill should be your go-to spot. With every bite, you’re sure to find a blend of tradition and innovation that keeps you coming back for more. So grab your friends and family, and head on over to this culinary oasis at the fair—your taste buds will thank you!
“ Must visit place for the fair. Lines are long for food at the front of the building but it is well worth it. All things on the menu are full of flavor and very diverse options of food. The line moves fairly quick. The food is similar to American or bar food. There is also a wonderful pavilion behind the building that has lots of seating but also gives shade from the sun or protection from the rain. In the pavilion there is almost always great music or entertainment. There is additional line on the pavilion for beer and wine only, this line will often appear long but moves incredibly fast only about a 1-3 minute wait from getting in line to getting your drink and only when it is busy. ”
“ One of my favorite food places at the MN state fair. Had the new duck drummies this year and they were fabulous. Also had the duck bacon wontons, also excellent, my 2.5 year old approved as well. I've also had the walley mac n cheese which is good as well. Worth a trip up to the north end of the fair to eat here. Also for those 21 and over there is a good beer selection too. ”
